Our Relocation Plans

THE PLAN:  Phase one will consist of a 28,000 square foot Recreation and Student Center being constructed on the new campus site.  Additionally, phase one would include constructing the site infrastructure (roads, utilities, and stormwater facility) to accommodate both phase one and phase two.  Phase two will consist of the construction of the necessary buildings to relocate all ministries to the new site and allow us to sell our current Ox Bottom Road facility.  The exact size of phase two is yet to be determined; however, at this time we believe phase two buildings will total between 60,000 and 80,000 square feet of additional building space.

PERMITTING STATUS:  Finally, after two years in the site plan process we obtained our master site plan approval in December, 2007.  The next step is to obtain our environmental permit which would allow us to begin construction on the necessary infrastructure.  This would include constructing a road to the center of our property from both Bannerman Road and North Meridian Road.  The center of our campus where the phase one and phase two buildings will be located will be cleared, leveled and made ready for vertical construction of the buildings.  Our site is in the Lake Protection zoning area so our environmental permitting is more complex than developing in a non protected area.

ARCHITECTURE:  The architecture of our new facility is referred to as "University Gothic".  A rendering of our Community Center building is shown below.  We believe this will present a "timeless" architecture that will be as attractive and stately years from now as we believe it is today.
