Our Relocation Plans
THE PLAN: Phase one will consist of a 28,000 square foot Recreation and Student Center being constructed on the new campus site. Additionally, phase one would include constructing the site infrastructure (roads, utilities, and stormwater facility) to accommodate both phase one and phase two. Phase two will consist of the construction of the necessary buildings to relocate all ministries to the new site and allow us to sell our current Ox Bottom Road facility. The exact size of phase two is yet to be determined; however, at this time we believe phase two buildings will total between 60,000 and 80,000 square feet of additional building space.
PERMITTING STATUS: The actual completion date of permitting is difficult to project; however, at this time we expect our master site plan to be approved before the end of summer, 2007. This would allow us to begin the construction preparing our site for actual buildings. As part of the site work we will construct a roads to the center of our property from both Bannerman Road and North Meridian Road. The center of our campus where the phase one and phase two buildings will be located will be cleared, leveled and made ready for verticle construction of the buildings. We are working with our architect to design the new Recreation and Student Center and are hopeful that this building will begin to rise in the first quarter of 2008. There is a possibility that site clearing could begin later this fall.
ARCHITECTURE: The architecture of our new facility is referred to as "University Gothic". A rendering of our Community Center building is shown below. We believe this will present a "timeless" architecture that will be as attractive and stately years from now as we believe it is today.
