Our Capital Campaign

Our desire is that members of our congregation will pledge and give "sacrificially" above and beyond their normal tithe.  Our goal is that the additional expenses that are required to relocate and expand our facilities will not detrimentally affect our ongoing ministries needs.  We believe we have embarked on a pledge that will accomplish this goal. 

Our current Capital Campaign pledge total is $3,711,021.  This represents participation by 268 families at Wildwood.  We are almost one year into our three year pledge timeframe and we have already received over $1.9 million which is over 51% of our goal. 

GREAT NEWS!

This past April (2007), we made our final principal payment on our current facility at 100 Ox Bottom Road.  At the end of June we broke the $2,000,000 mark and have now collected over 54% of the total 3 year pledge amount.  We have used $1,515,000 of these funds to assist us in paying off our mortgage on our existing facility.  Our old mortgage carried an interest rate of 8.92%, which is considerably more than what we could earn by leaving these funds in the bank.  We estimate that we have saved over $50,000 in interest payments in 2006 alone by paying down this mortgage.  We have begun paying down our loan of $1,572,352.50 on the new property.
