Mission Trips
Thank you for your interest in our Medical Mission Trip to Nicaragua. Our church has been fortunate to be able to carry on a relationship with the Buzbees & the Open Hearts Mission in Nicaragua over the past six years. This mission is a medical mission, however you don’t have to be “medical” to participate. However, since this is a medical mission, those working in the medical profession or with experience or education will be given priority. But the overall goal is to find those that will be a good fit for the team.
If interested there will be a meeting with Todd in the Student Center on November 8th after the 11:00 service.
The focus of this trip will be to provide medical support to the ongoing work Open Hearts is doing in the rural communities of Nicaragua. Multiple medical clinics will be coordinated and this team will serve through these walk-in community clinics. Depending on the talent and experience of the team, this could range from general diagnosis, treatment and medication to specialty areas such as dental and optometry. This will be a 7-8 day mission scheduled for Spring 2010.
The projected trip cost each team member will be between $800 and $1000. To participate in the mission, you need a completed application and a $75 deposit. You also need a current US Passport.
