OUR FATHER'S STOREHOUSE

END OF YEAR 20007

REPORT

The year 2007 brought increased numbers of both visitors and volunteers to OFS.

OFS STATS:

1,629 – Number of different families to attend OFS since its inception April 2005.

          589 – New in 2005             Total seen in 2005:  589

          473 – New in 2006             Total seen in 2006:  659

          567 – New in 2007             Total seen in 2007:  791

Number of visits:           Number of families:

          1 to 12                             753

          13 to 24                           31

          25 to 36                           5

          36 to 52                           2

Volunteers (in all areas) total more than 100, mostly Wildwood members; a small number are Four Oaks members.  In 2007, we saw the beginning of OFS Sunrise (currently sending 30 bags twice a month), OFS Teen Girls, we also continued sending 40 bags/month to GIBB Mabry Village, and there are new ideas on the table for possibly more satellite ministries.  We saw our visitor numbers grow through the summer, culminating in large crowds (averaging 175 families) at the Back to School Bash, OFS Thanksgiving, and OFS Christmas.

For the first time, funding for the 2007 year was entirely from designated giving, as we were no longer part of the church budget.

Our total designated giving at the end of ’07 was $85,876.21 ($40,118.69 carried forward from ’06), minus $47,607.03 expense.  Amazingly, we begin 2008 with a balance of $38,269.18 in designated giving.  At current levels, we will spend $65,000 in 2008.  Of that amount, 96% will be used to purchase groceries.  The remainder:  Bibles and administrative expenses.
