FAQs:

1. Will there be child care? YES--Wildwood PCA is providing childcare for children through the 5th Grade. It will begin 30 minutes before the Service and end at 9:30--therefore 6:00 to 9:30. The Service will begin at 6:30. To access the child care you MUST register your children before FEBRUARY 3. We will need your child's name and age. Suzanne Watson is coordinating the child care for this Service. She may be reached by email suzwatson@gmail.com or by telephone 264-2944. Please let us know as early as possible since Valentines is a busy time for child care workers.

2. What about the Reception----is it optional and how much will it cost? YES the Reception is optional---some are going to restaurants after the Service and some have other plans. But we're hoping that most of you will choose to join us. The Reception will be immediately after the Service in the Fellowship Hall. There will be plenty of food. We could not have a seated dinner due to the number of couples who will be participating but we will have a really good "stand up meal." You do not need to eat before or afterward. There will be fun and fellowship and music---as well as food. The cost is $25 per couple and we need to start collecting for that starting this Sunday. You may pay by dropping a check by the "Marriage Table" in the narthex on Sunday OR by giving checks or money to Bob or Cynthia Burton in person OR by mailing your check to Cynthia Burton 6076 Heartland Circle Tallahassee, FL 32312. If you pay with cash, please paper clip a small slip of paper to the cash with your name on it.  Deadline to pay is February 3rd.

3. What is the attire for the Marriage Renewal Service and the Reception? The answer is--the attire is optional. Let me be clear---this is not a "clothing optional" evening. But the clothing you choose to wear is optional in terms of style and formality. From the feedback I'm getting, there will be a wide array of sartorial splendor (look it up). Leading the casual contingent will be Bob Burton who gave away all of his neckties after Charles Wright's funeral. Leading the formal group will be Paul Blackhall----who has rented a Tuxedo. Rumor has it that Greg Costas is wearing a white sequined jump suit with pastel scarves around his neck. Jestkdn, Jestkdn. "Mr Costas has left the house" Nah!!! If I could make a fashion statement---a speedo, flip flops and a shark's tooth necklace may be a little too casual-----and breezy. But you get the picture. Wear what says "marriage" to you----all are welcome.

4. Can we invite family and friends to be with us and witness the recommitment to our marriage? The answer to that is yes---the Service content will be directed to the participating couples. The music, the encouragement, the teaching, the sharing and the vows. The participating couples will be seated by pairs in the central area downstairs in front of the platform. There will be about 200 or so of us--100 couples. So there will be extra seating around the periphery downstairs and in the balcony if there are close friends or family who would like to attend and observe---and/or join with the couples just before the taking of the recommitment vow. Friends and family will not be able to sit right next to you, but if you place yourself around the periphery of the participating couples, you may be seated in close proximity to your guests. Just before the vows are said, Pastor Bob will allow time for interested parties to come down and join with the couples for the vow ceremony---so that they will be "standing with you" as the vows are spoken. Wildwood is providing childcare for children up to 5th grade. We have not made allowance for family and guests for the Reception. Okay, I think that's it. If you have any questions let me know.

This is our first Marriage Renewal Service at Wildwood. We're trying to handle the details so that it will be meaningful and joyous for all. We're making adjustments as we progress and learn more. Please let us know if you have any suggestions.
